andy+work friend thought
quick one just so this thought doesn't get lost to the void. will maybe add it to my website one day cuz it's a new chunk of lore.
andy works in a local council doing grounds maintenance at a park or other site. i think it still could be the same place where howard works as i had it down as a garden centre with a cafe/restaurant and other shops. but i figure it could have a garden too.
or, a nearby park, which feels more likely. to be honest i just like the idea of them carpooling lol. and maybe having lunch together.
so anyway i think it's mainly just a two-person team, which is him and this woman in her 40s who is divorced and in her man-hater era. not actual man hating but. anyway i had this thought that andy knows her whole life story cuz she's actively going through this divorce and he ends up talking a lot about amatonormativity cuz she's struggling with the idea of being single and maybe never finding anyone else. and they form a real kinship over time.
and ! thinking back to howard and andy working nearby to each other. makes sense then, that she would meet howard a number of times and maybe they'd have lunch together on the regular. i think it's pretty novel for andy to be the glue of a friendship lol.
anyway i was thinking this now would be alessia, the friend he made in uni, cuz that never really went anywhere. but i think alessia is the wrong name too so it's really just a brand new character. i had the name cassandra come into mind or cassie which is probably usually what she is called. or even cass. hmm. anyway that's all !
