festival thoughts
2 very important discoveries!!! from a local little festival i worked at:
a kid, around 16, volunteering as a journalist for the event. at one point his mum came over, and his sister was with her too. the sister was much quieter. the mum was really outgoing and spoke to us like she'd known us forever. she was saying, "isn't he amazing?! and i had him when i was 21!!" or something along those lines. it made me think of Ciara soooo much. which is exciting cuz up to this point it's been hard to imagine her older, like, older than when howard and stan were little kids. this lady wouldve been... in her 40s i guess... but she came off very youthful still. this is the thing with ciara. she's got youthful energy. it makes so much sense now cuz i feel like her and stan have such similar personalities. then there's howard lmao it's really cute honestly to think like.... she has these two kids and one is so clearly much quieter and more mild mannered.
I could hear this dude performing music for a while -- between songs he'd be just talking crap to the audience lol. he had a big personality. i don't really remember much of what he said. but i can 100% imagine stan being like this and i've thought about it before. just cool to see in the wild.
bonus thought!!! which is more general since i've been working things like this. or it's more like two thoughts -- firstly, been imagining mudpuppy playing at a lot of these things, and i guess that's how they start out. would've begun in college, their music tutor would've suggested they do some event or other, then they carry on doing stuff like this. i don't think they ever get Huge but i feel like they get decently popular like, on the internet. do smallish gigs later on. but they started out at local fairs and i'm not sure if they don't still do them.
the other thought which sort of relates to this -- i keep thinking about audrey being at these little fairs and doing fun stuff for kids. and i'm like if stan's performing then she'd either be with her nan, ciara, or with uncle howard and uncle andy!!!!! which is also so cute. her as like a toddler sitting on howard's shoulders watching her dad perform on stage. him dedicating a SONG to her.... he's like this is for my daughter Audrey, there she is!!!!! and she's like :o
