hangouts with mums
Another quick little thought... Just cuz I saw someone I watch on YouTube post a photo of her hanging out with her mum and. Being someone probably in her mid thirties it was just kinda heartwarming to me cuz I know that'll be me still when I get there lol.
Anyway I was thinking about Andy spending time with his mum as an adult -- I've thought a lot about them when he was a kid and they would go out and go to a cafe and maybe do a little shopping. I think Andy got pretty distant for a while there in his early adulthood. And he does a lot of this stuff with Howard now. So it's just really sweet imagining him and his mum kind of getting to know each other as adults and just hanging out... Laughing together?!?! Without the fear of his dad ruining the vibes and upsetting people?!!
Of course this leads me to think about Howard too and his mum but I think they've always been pretty tight. Stan too. Just a close bunch. Howard's also always been pretty independent and his mum never minded this. But they hang, moreso at home. There are the family barbecues too. Andy becomes a part of that whole dynamic over time. Them, Jamie and his parents, the one grandad I've never thought about too hard... I honestly think with Jamie being very sensitive to noise and his parents usually hosting the barbecues and, they're all a pretty chill bunch anyway, I think Andy finds it a surprisingly welcoming space.
