la gioconda & the heist
so lmao vulfpeck the funk band of all time released a new album the other day and, ive not been overly excited about it but it's growing on me. but they posted a live performance of "la gioconda" leading into "the heist" and tell the little backstory at the beginning and then the first song is a duet about the heist of the mona lisa in 1911. lmao. and then the second song is instrumental and they act out the heist on stage and it's really dumb and i love it. it's SO mudpuppy im immediately making it canon they pull stuff like this at their live shows, especially cuz they do a lot of narrative kind of music/albums. im seeing them literally doing a concert and it's half-concert half-musical. im screaming
