lavender marriages
I've had this thought before about, lol, the manager at the supermarket Andy and Howard work(ed) at, Lloyd. I know he has a partner called Frazer and is very much gay. But I've considered before, the idea of him being in a lavender marriage with like, a lesbian... Or not a lesbian and someone not bothered about dating. Either way he is Indian and from what I can gather Indians even in the UK predominantly enter arranged marriages. I like to think that they would really love each other too and, he has his relationship with Frazer but his wife is more like a best friend... I'm sure they live together. Maybe they even raise a family. I don't know. I don't really know Lloyd all that well but he's a sweetheart and would be a 10/10 dad lol. I guess he lives close to his parents or this wouldn't be a necessity. I feel like he and his wife would uphold this thing until their parents die honestly. And wouldn't get divorced afterwards either like, maybe they did it for their parents in the beginning but they wouldn't give up what they have cuz it works. They like having each other around. It's not difficult to keep up appearances cuz they actually like each other lol, and nobody's gonna be expecting PDA... Ok this is just the beginning of something tho. The other thing that's been in the back of my mind forever is that Lloyd is not a very Indian sounding name lmao. If his parents value tradition they'd give him an Indian name. I guess he could change it or whatever but he wouldn't. Anyway after a quick google I found Lohit which even sounds really similar lol. To the point people might mishear it as Lloyd and maybe it could be a kind of inside joke/nickname. So I guess he's called Lohit now? I need to do some more research though lmao
