yarrow + sprites body hair
Just thinking on body hair for sprites/particularly Yarrow, but I don't think he's very unique in his appearance compared to other sprites. They are creatures, distinctly non-human bipeds, perhaps distantly sharing common ancestors with humans (primates). Perhaps not.
Anyway one of the ways they are not quite like humans, apart from having a tail, pointed ears, grey skin, being around 4 ft tall, fangs, eyes being colours other than variations of blue, brown and green --- is body hair. It is thinner, softer and shorter than humans' hair, and always dark, nearly black. It covers more of the body more densely than humans. It's akin to peach fuzz all over the body, but darker in mainly the same spots as humans -- legs, especially calves; forearms, lower stomach to pubic area (bush!). As well, hair on the scalp as per humans, but hair continues down the nape of the neck and spreads a little to the upper back, and also comes forward, around the jaw area, sideburns. Soft little moustache, monobrow. Dark long eyelashes. Lightly hairy on the top of the feet. Lightly. Not like a hobbit. Light fuzz covering the top of the tail and ending with a considerable tuft of hair at the end of the tail.
Note to self: I should draw this sometime. But it's difficult because the hair is definitely very visible but it's hard to draw in a way that doesn't look coarse. But will figure it out sometime.
